metaphors

I have a question or maybe its more of a statement im not sure but here goes my integrated thinking, is it or could the story about ms. Annabelle and her 12 students be an metaphor for Jesus Christ and the 12 disciples.Jesus was immortal as he rose from the dead and was himself a teacher of everlasting life.(immortality) and could the C of U be heaven or paradise. There is many more similarities also but to many to list here. The teachings of pure love and working together for the well being of all are the teachings of Jesus Christ. Do you see how i could believe the story is a metaphor. So im confused if it is a metaphor cuz i keep reading to drop mysticism so why a story thats a metaphor then. I dont mean disrespect im just integrating my thoughts. Thankyou to please answer my question as im a little confused.
