Physician

I recently experienced what I think is a ten second miracle as follows: I am a radiologist specializing in mammography and I wanted to get the results to my patients in a more timely fashion. So after thinking about the problem for a while, the solution came to me in an “ah ha” moment: I would arrive at work 30 minutes early each day to “catch up” on the reads before the busy day of “real time” reads, breast ultrasounds and breast biopsies started. And although this daily action did not result in increased revenue, it certainly resulted in increased patient satisfaction, which in my opinion is more important than increased revenue.
