Hello NTS
The level two meeting I just participated in brought two questions to mind. First, let me abridge, I am 55 and I am hoping to retire from my current occupation in three years or less, if I can achieve my Friday Night Essence. I don’t have much of a desire to advance in my current occupation, unfortunately it’s just one of those put my time in and get out; however I do have a strong, burning desire to change my occupation and succeed with my FNE. I have one of those jobs of physical labor, and when I can, I try to use the numbers or conceptualize my work day by looking at the details and finding common denominators. Then I apply that to my specific tasks of the day, which can change daily.
I am in the process of reading Martin Eden by Jack London, which was mentioned several times in the heirloom packages. Although not as extreme, my situation is similar. I have been using the mini-day concept after my work day. I would like to apply the numbers concept to my FNE, but I do not have the experience to know this business well enough. I do think the ten sec miracle is a fantastic technique/tool and I would like to apply it to my FNE, how would I go about that instead of using it on a job I want to leave?
My second query is more of an experience with the ah-ha moment. It involves my study of the Chinese martial arts. After being in my school for a time, all of a sudden something clicked and yes, I understand it. This was quite an elating experience. Perhaps this is similar to our ten sec miracle and I’d sure love to feel that again.
