Create Value

If I understand today’s lesson correctly that the creation of new information is our best way to create new value. This makes me think of my business school professor, who’s driving lesson that I have carried with me over 20 years leaving school, is we create value by predicting the future by taking what we currently know and adding new information to predict (create?) what the new outcome (future) will be. My only real example is I predicted the business moves of J.R. Ewing on “Dallas” for 13 episodes in a row at the time. I was proud that I was able to correctly identify what a person with no morals would do given the situation he was in at the time. I have tried over my existing business career to give my value creation suggestions to my current employer of the time. The bottom line has been it has not worked well for me so far. I can only hope the the addition of the Neothink information will allow me to get past the barrier in my work life.
