In many, if not most cases, I think that people do know the nature of their individual FNE’s. It is one’s personal circumstances in life that either encourage or discourage (temporarily or permanently) recognition of that FNE and the necessity to pursue it fully. Further, what you call the “10-second Miracle” is what I learned many years ago as the “Eureka Moment”. Indeed these moments are uncommon (without going into reasons at this time) and often are the final, conscious manifestation of a quiet, “background” mind process over some time period needed to process the data that leads to the “miracle” or “moment”. “
