10-second miracles

Surprising that 10-second miracles aren’t actually something you can do, but something that might or might not happen! I think about them as similar to epiphanies or realizations that occur when you apply systems thinking — http://www.thinking.net/Systems_Thinking/OverviewSTarticle.pdf — or the engineering mindset — https://simplifywork.blogs.xerox.com/2015/08/27/8-essential-components-to-the-engineers-mindset/#.V6PNPJODFBc — to a situation or challenge. Thinking about it in terms of numbers might not always apply, but thinking about it in terms of efficiency or process design, or practices (all of which can be measured in some way, so numbers still apply) might always be useful. Look for the bigger picture. Then look for leverage.
So for me, the takeaway is less 10-second miracles, and more systems thinking and the engineering mindset, or thinking in terms of efficient and effective processes and practices. Just like grouping like tasks in your mini-day!
